𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗴 is selected for IFFR 2026 and is set to premiere on 30 January 2026. It is an honour to have this debut feature receive such acknowledgement, and I owe so much of it to the brilliance and generosity of my dear friends and long-time collaborators.
𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗴 is meant as a balm. An offering to the altar of those who hold stories and keep archives alive through love. This was understood immediately by my dear Victoria McKenzie as well as Jill Hutchinson when I came to them with the story. I can’t wait for their magic to be witnessed on the big screen.

Gratitude to the curators Hasret Emine, Suzanne Koopstra, Tim van Hooft, for recognising kinship with our film and trusting its cultural value.
